I Love Behr Paint

What can I say? I'm not Haute Couture when it comes to paint. I don't even know what Haute Couture means or if I even spelled it right for that matter ;)

Behr paint comes in fantastic colors, applies nicely to walls and best of all, it's very affordable! What more could a gal ask for? Well, maybe for her husband to actually handle the 'painting' part of things...which he does, so I'm batting 1,000 or 100 or whatever is good in baseball!

Here is our Living Room, painted in Expedition Khaki:

It used to be painted in Outback, which I also loved:

Our Foyer is still decked out in Outback:

Our kitchen, in Harvest Brown (we could use better lighting in our kitchen, but my husband is an electrician, so fat chance of that happening, ha!) :

Sweet Georgia Brown (love that paint color name!) in my older son's room:

And, of course, our bedroom, painted in Spa:

See, you don't need to spend $50 for a gallon of paint, give Behr a try! It's available at The Home Depot and they even have sales from time to time, usually on the 3 day weekends, like Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends.

What is your favorite paint color (any brand)?

I love your colors!! I like Behr paints too. If I like a color from another brand, I take it to Home Depot and buy it. They have lots of brands colors in their computer. Picking my favorite is a hard one. Hmmmmm.....I love my Sherwin Williams-Ivoire (goldish yellow. And my Duron-Herbivore (sage green) But I do love that Sweet Georgia Brown too.

Hi Sarah, I just knew you'd be a Behr girl ;)

Luv a Bargain, you are so right, the hardest part is PICKING a paint color. I love golden yellow and sagey greens, too :)

Hey there Bella ~

I love the color of your bedroom. I am ready to paint our bedroom and I just cannot choose a color...there are so many...I am not good with too many choices.

Have a great Thursday.

What color are you leaning towards, Ramona? A great way to get ideas is to google the color, like: yellow bedroom and then click on images...and then if you see something you like click on the photo...then click on the website from that page and sometimes you can get a paint color from the site.

Another great site is HGTV's Rate My Space, so many rooms to browse through over there and you can even browse by color, which is very handy!

Good Luck!

How funny, I updated my avatar this morning, but my first post has my old avatar and my newer posts have the new one. You would think they would all update, lol.

They all have web sites you try colors on their rooms and some have it so you can use your photo. My fgavorite is leather scatchel from lowes. I have it in my dining room, my hall and I am going to do my kitchen in it.Kathy

I love the old Sherwin Williams colors. My bedroom is Wild Bamboo with a drybrush wash of Paper Moon. Our living room and kitchen are painted with Soft Sand and then drybrushed with Bauhaus Buff.

All of your colors are so soothing and pretty. I don't know if you spelled Haute Couture correctly or not, or what it means for sure, but I think you've got it! laurie

I've used Behr paint before and loved it too!!

a few years ago when I painted every room in our house I mostly used Olde Century Colors paint - it's AWESOME, but it has a nice price tage too (we sold it in our store, so I got it at wholesale)

I don't have a Home Depot close, just Lowes, so in my recent painting project I used their brand, Valspar and I was very pleased with it and it's price!!

Hi Bella :)

I like Behr, but I also like Ralph Lauren for their colors and finishes. I don't have a favorite though.

Yay! Finally a peak at the new living room. What a pretty color. Thanks for the tip; I think we're really going to paint soon. Just waiting to see if we're moving the trailer to my FIL's or not. Probably shouldn't paint before moving!

Over Memorial Day week-end I re-did my daughter's bedroom. I, too, love Behr paint! I used Tea Cookie, how about that name! I can't wait to check out your paint colors at Home Depot in person! I'm looking to re-do my son's room next. Thank you for the inspiration!

I'm a Behr girl, too, and recently painted my bland kitchen "Dark Espresso." It really sets off the pale fake oak cabinets. Love it.

I used to sell Behr and did you know it has more latex in it than other paints? That's what makes it self leveling and gives you that nice finish. (And that's why you can peel dried paint out of your paint tray in one big sheet - I don't even bother rinsing my trays anymore. Just let it dry and peel it out.) ...Thought you'd like a little painty trivia...
