I need a floor lamp by my favorite chair so when I am sitting there using my laptop, I will have better lighting. I pick the brass floor lamp with the swivel arm.
I really really love the buffet lamp. Of course it would go on my buffet in the dining/living room. I have one there already, but my dogs were being ranbuctious and pulled it over. I semi-repaired it and turned it around so it wouldn't show but would love a new one.

The Living Well - Burnt Umber Floor Lamp w Beaded Shade would be my pick, it is classicly beautiful
I'd get the Grandrich Hurricane Lamp. It's so gorgeous and would match so perfectly with my living room set in Victorian style.
That also answers the other part... the room I'd use it in is the living room. I'd put it on the end table beside the sofa.
There's already an antique picture frame there and a cherub vase, so the lamp would match very nicely.
