Winter Wonderland & Jive Turkeys, Too!

Here's the view from the front of our house, this is our driveway...we really got socked and more on the way...it is pretty though.

This is last week, before the big snow came...look at these wild turkeys, isn't that hilarious? I always crack up when I see the turkeys walking by...

Our turkey dinner was so delish yesterday and the bonus...I don't have to cook today!

H o o r a y !!!

Which gives me more time to check out the deals for Cyber Monday. Our little guy has enough, I have been buying things here and there...our older son though, he only wants video games and sports jerseys (yike$!)...so it is more of a challenge to find a deal on those things, but I'll find some, I'm determined!

His birthday is also on Christmas, he'll be 14 years old, how did that happen???

Do you have any Christmas babies in your family? Do you have any special things that you do for them? I'd love to hear about it!

ttfn,

Bella

Oh, how Christmas-y your scene looks! I love it. Here in Florida it's cool and windy, but never a chance for snow. sigh!

What a gorgeous scene!

My older sister has a Christmas Day birthday, my ex-MIL is the day after, and my son (who'll be 14 also) is Dec 29. We just usually try to celebrate it in the manner that we would any other (people have suggested that we should celebrate the 1/2 birthday in June, but that doesn't feel right), although it is a little tighter financially, and thankfully he has never wanted a party. He wants the same things your son does, with the addition of Oakley shades....haha...like that will happen.....

It is pretty, but I'm not quite ready for that here.

My daughter is a Dec 22nd baby. This will be the second time going to the Nutcracker ballet has been a birthday present.

When I got married my mother-in-law told me that they never put up Christmas stuff until after my husband's birthday on Dec. ll. He's a big boy now, so I start on Christmas before his bday; but still try to do some sort of special meal to celebrate on Dec. llth. We have funny, wild turkeys in Colorado, too. Sally

I'm not sure how I missed your post about your interview. I have been a little crazy with the holidays and all. I finally got to read it. You did a fantastic job! How exciting for you! I really appreciate the mention and the link love. Thank you so very much! I'm glad to know that I inspire you. Sometimes the only thing that keeps me blogging is knowing that it helps others.
You have such a beautiful view outside your window! It's crazy to see how much snow you have. We're dry and warm here, in the 50's. Hopefully I can get some more spray painting in before the weather changes.

Oh, it's beautiful and festive. I wish we'd get a little snow (we were supposed to last night). I haven't seen our wild turkeys for a while, and I miss them.

Yeah, it's pretty, but you can keep it, okay? My Noah will be 10 on Christmas Eve. I've gotten pretty bad about separating it, I must admit. I always give him his presents on his birthday, wrapped in BIRTHDAY paper. But his parties have been pushed back to January because no one can ever make it that close to Christmas. I'd love to hear what you do. I hear ya about the pricey gifts, too. Noah only wants Wii, DS, etc.

Hi Bella ~
I love the view from your door. What a great way to spend the day...tucked in with the snow falling outside...love it. Those wild turkeys are so cool...you truly do live in a winter wonderland.

How beautiful!

My DIL2be is a day after Christmas baby so I'm determined to throw her a birthday party that is all birthday and no left over Christmas on her special day.

I love the snow! I hope you didn't have to drive in it! I am absolutely in love with wild turkeys. I see them all the time on my way to work. I am also wild about seeing deer, too, but I don't see them quite as often.

Julia @ Hooked on Houses said...

Wow, your snow is beautiful! (Especially from here where I don't have to actually drive through it--ha). My in-laws live up near you and get wild turkeys moseying through their yard all the time. It cracks me up.

I have a friend with a Christmas baby. She throws a big bday party for her daughter on her half birthday each summer instead of trying to fit it in with Christmas celebrations.

Today is my husband's birthday, and even though it's still early December, it's hard for me to do it justice. I'm so focused on Christmas and Christmas gifts right now that it always kind of takes me by surprise when I realize I need to plan something for him, too!

Good morning Bella! Your place is simply divine! I have a few wild turkeys also but haven't seen them yet this year. I'm glad you enjoyed Bob the Rooster. Believe it or not, when we went to tag our Christmas Tree (10 miles west of here) they had a great horse and goat...the horse's name.....BOB! lol So stay tuned...I'll be posting with pics about Bob The Horse. He's adorable. (so is the goat, CC!) With gratitude, Laurie B.

Hi, Bella, how pretty that is! We hardly ever get snow down here. I love to look at it for a few days, but don't think for very long. It really does look like a Christmas card, so enjoy it!

Beautiful snow!! It's cold here. It's not right to be cold without snow.

My son's birthday is January 6th. I usually have his party a little later into January to spread things out. Sounds like you're finding some good deals.

Be sure to check out my post from yesterday...

SO beautiful....wow!
I love it when we have wild turkeys. We don't get them often but when we do, my sons always run for the BB gun...I know they'll never get there in time, but it's fun to watch them try.

What a beautiful picture. I love the snow until I have to start driving in it!

Hi Bella! We only got 2 inches of snow and it mostly melted in my part of MI. It sure is pretty by you!

My birthday is the 22nd and my daughter's is next wek on the
10th. I make sure she has a special birthday because mine being so close to Christmas was hard. Everyone is so busy then! My aunt was a Christmas baby, but she seemed to like it.

Have a wonderful night!
