I guess that was the kick in the pants I needed, because hooray, finally did this yesterday, I'm so excited, it came out so pretty (even prettier than the pics...ugh, this camera!):
What's in the drawer, let's take a peek:
And since I have an aversion to exposed cords...I stuck this decorative box on top of an upside-down planter to help conceal those pesky things...do you realize our great-grandchildren probably won't even know what a cord is, maybe everything will be cordless by then? Well, one can dream... I am so glad I finally did this...not so glad with the amount of money I spent doing this...darn that new HomeGoods store! Must-Stay-Out-Of-That-Store...
But it's done and it's pretty, even hubby and the boys were impressed, so I will take that as a job well done and stick to garage sales and dollar stores for next several weeks! (months?) ;)

wonderful, sounds like you are a busy bee. I know I hate all the cords and hiding them can be a challenge, your table looks beautiful...hugs, lisa
Beautiful!!! Well done!!!
I love make-overs...did you see ours from yesterday's post?
~Blessings,
Jan
*wishing I had a Home Goods store closer than Ypsilanti!!
That's very nice and practical too
I LOVE that idea and am trying to figure out how it can work in this house since we mainly go out the laundry room door. Hmmmmm, I'll have to work on that one, sweetpea!
Smooches,
Connie
Great idea....it's so hard to find a good place for those dang chargers. What a nice solution!
Looks great Bella!!! I wish we had a Home Goods store!! I keep hearing about their bargains on the blogs but I have never been in one. :(
Hey Bella, it looks fabulous! I need to find a place to do that in my house. Oh, how I wish we had a Home Goods. I've never even been to one.
That's a neat trick! I think I'll soon be thinking seriously about this too. I love creative concealment.
No Home Gods stores near me...waaa
Take care, DebraK
Hey Bella, this is perfect...I have never been in a Homegoods store....we don't have them where we live, but I've seen them advertised in magazines and they look like fun! Have a great day
xoxo,
Queenie!
Hi...Like you I hate those pesky cords and you worked magic on the problem...looks GREAT at any price!
;-) Bo
Love this! I've been wanting to do this too, but just haven't found the right piece yet. Someday I'll get the kick-in-the-pants I need too!
Blessings to you and yours,
Hi Bella! Soo pretty, I need something just like this in my foyer! I'm so glad Homegoods is almost an hour from me or I would be in big trouble (you will be an addict too if one's that close)Big Lots look out!!! I know what you mean about cords-good solution for yours. Your toilet decor is a fun idea; mine is hard to decorate because it has a curve in the top; I could do so much more with a flat-top!lol
Hey there Bella ~ Bravo! Looks great! I was going to Home Goods too much so I had to go on a H.G. fast! I just pretend that it doesn't exsist...and then don't go to that side of town....doesn't work but I try.
Have a great day!
Smiles ~ Ramona
Bella,
Guess what!?!?! You're in the TOP 10 in the Calico Corner's Contest. That means you could win the $200 Gift Certificate! YAY! Run over and vote, and have as many people as you can stop over to vote too!
Congrats on a job well done! It looks fabulous! And it is a CREATIVE CONCEALMENT! LOOK AT YOU GO, GIRL!
Genius!
xo
Clever idea! Love it!
Hey, I gave you an award over at my place, Bella, so be sure to stop by and pick it up! -Julia :-)
Purely genius! I just love how that turned out! Good job!
Hey girl..that is a great idea...turned out beautiful too! Hope all is well on your side of the mountain and that you are having a great day.
Very nice, Bella! you did a good job on that. Yep, those Homegoods can be addicting, be careful.
It IS a job well done!
Great idea! It all looks pretty! HomeGoods is addictive! But I love it! LOL! ~Rhonda :)
Nice! I hate cords too. I try to hide them as much as possible. Your table is just perfect. :-)
Girlfriend, whose better than you??? that is AWESOME!!!
Keep the inspiration coming!
looks great...ours is called Homesense...and it is a sickness after a while...lol
Looks awesome!
Good job! I should do that myself...I'm sick of cell phones all over the kitchen counter with cords taking up my valuable kitchen plugs. ;-)
Very good idea! I keep wanting to do something like that myself, but I don't keep all my chargers plugged in to the outlet unless I'm using them.
It appears you LOVE Home Goods. It's wonderful, isn't it? I can't get out of there without buying SOMETHING. That's where I bought my Halloween candy bars last year- the wrapper of which I framed. lol
AND. I took my verifier off again. I must have had some weird catch word yesterday in my title? Not sure what was going on there.
That looks great!! I must figure out how to do that at my house!
I love that idea! I did a blog post on this a while back when I saw the idea in a magazine. I'm just dying to try it, but haven't found a reasonably priced piece of furniture yet. You did a great job! And I so wish I had a HomeGoods in my area!
yea for you!! It looks fabulous, as always. :)
What a gorgeous way to "fix" a cord problem. I love how you drilled the hole in the back allowing the phone to charge all nice and tucked away, you're genius!
I love Home Goods - it's such a fun place to shop as it oozes with all sorts of fun stuff.
Blessings - Debbie
I had read your post over at Blissful and was so happy to see that you gave the purchase info on this post.
Very clever idea.
Can you come do this at my house?? Pretty please? ha.
Hi Bella, I love it all. It is a great idea. I'm sure that I could use a table that I already have but seems every table is stuffed to the brim with something. Deb
looks awesome! Totally stumbled for you.
what a good ideal !
love the hiding the cord idea..and the cute password idea(:)
thanks for sharing ~~
patty
This is an incredible idea! Super thinking! The cogs in my brain are turning... what table am I going to be drilling holes into and where is it going to sit???
Thanks for the great post! This idea is officially filed away in my brain to be pulled at the appropriate time ;-)
