Garage Sale Before & After

Before:

After:

I used some liquid sandpaper on the fruit plaques and then 2 coats of chalkboard paint...then I watched the presidential debate last night and learned a new word:

FESTOON!!!

Haha, love that word...will surely be festooning my halls with boughs of holly this holiday season ;)

I'm still working on the gossip bench...need some fabric and then a place to put it...I bet my boys will fight over it and want it in their rooms...we'll see...

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

ttfn,

Bella

How funny. My mind must of skipped right over the word festooned. Thanks for pointing it out. I must go and festoon my house with Halloween junk. :-)

I love the way you transformed those ho-hum wall decor into lovely chalkboards. I'm a big fan of yardsales too, but since having a baby (already a 2 y/o toddler) I can't find the time anymore. I love reading your blog. Have a great day.
