Tassel Project On The Cheap...

You can get TWO of these nice tassels from Big Lots for $4, they have an assortment of colors...back in the window treatment aisle, I chose a golden tone sort of color, I bought them today, as you can see, I only used one for this project:

I got the cute Family sign at Target last week, about $6 I think it was...in the gift bag aisle for some reason, instead of the picture department:

Now, turn it around and you see, all I did was TAPE the tassel to the back of the sign, sort of to one end of the sign, I did not want it right in the middle:

Another look:

My work here is done...

...yeah, right! lol ;)

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend, I am...I did a little decorating, a little playing and hubby is cooking dinner, so no complaints here ;)

TTFN!

Bella
PS: If you have not been to Big Lots in awhile, it is worth checking out, I am really kind of surprised at the nice things I have bought there recently...I should blog about it one day.

Ya know, you are so right about Big Lots. I remember going there around Christmastime and them having the best Christmas decor, giftwrap and stuff of anyone. Thanks for jostling my memory of what a find it is. Now I just have to find the one closest to me!

Dawn

P.S. You so have to start thrifting, girl! With all the fun home projects you come up with and tackle with such flair, a thrift shop would be a gold mine for you!

Hi Bella,
Thanks for the heads up on Big Lots! I haven't been in quite a while!

Hello most creative Bella! I love that tassel and how you've gotten it behind your little sign. Haven't been to Big Lots in some time, guess I should go back more stuff!

Well, you're right, not too many folks want to take me up on my challenge! Boo Hoo!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

You know Bella, my Lowcountry friend finds the most amazing stuff at her Big Lots but I'm telling you my Big Lots stinks! There's never anything, I guess they think the redneck hillbillies don't need anything but salvage food stuff and plastic sandbox toys! Atleast I have my beloved Hobby Lobby, lol

kittyscraps, you crack me up...that is too bad about your Big Lots...maybe you should email their hq's and see if that helps.

I am so envious of your Hobby Lobby!!! ;) We have them in MI, but not near me, I think the closest one is a little over an hour away...it's a doable trip, but with $4 gas...ugh.

Bella :)

Hi Bella,
Thanks for adding me to your blogroll, I just added you as well :)
Sign up for the email alert for the weekly sales ad, then you'll know what the specials are for the week and whether you want to drive the hour to check them out. I actually commute 45 minutes one way to my store. I love me some Lobby for sure! Have a wonderfully blessed week!

My only complaint about where I live? Big Lots is so far away! My "local" (it's 45 minutes away) Big Lots is so junky. I miss the big CLEAN one I shopped in Mass. Great idea with the tassel!

By the way...I was checking out your older son's room. I LOVE it!! I am going to start my son's room as soon as I finish my daughter's room.

Hi Bella!
Your project turned out so cute! I love it! I love to find bargains, if it isn't cheap... I mean inexpensive it's not in my budget!!
Oh you would love Summer Kitchen Interiors! Karrie & Karla are so sweet and their shop is full of the cutest things. It was hard to chose one thing in my budget that day. The wreaths were so lovely! I looked and looked and tried to soak it all in but there was something in every niche and corner. You'd love it too! Hope you get a chance to go there some time.
Hugs, Sherry
Thank you for your sweet comments! I love to hear from you!!

Hey Bella,

I've been snooping around your blog and I must say I'm having a great time. You are very creative and I love you kitty. And I see a couple of recipes that have gotten my attention...now I just need someone who can actually cook to make them for me lol.

What a great idea! I never would have thought to put the two of them together yet they look like they were made for each other.

I have not been to Big Lots in a long time. I guess I need to hit it up now!

Hugs,
Joanne

I wish I had anything like that, here in Aus, good, affordable budget home stores are few and far between, it surprised me when I moved here how little there was in this price range

I love the tassel idea, in fact I love the whole vignette...

Too cute, Bella! How do you decorating divas do it? I have not one ounce of decorating ability! Sigh! Oh, well. I'll just keep perusing your blog and dreaming.
