Marlboro Man's Sandwich Recipe, It's A Beautiful Thing!

Have you ever visited The Pioneer Woman's website? If not, then you are in for a treat! She has the most scrumptious recipes fit for a cowboy (or a cowgirl) and the pictures of her making the dishes are amazing, you'll feel like you are right there in
the kitchen with her.

I stumbled across her website about 10 days ago and have already made her Marlboro Man's Sandwich TWICE! It has enough b u t t e r in it to make Paula Deen proud, but wow...what a melt in your mouth experience, and QUICK and EASY, too!

And last Sunday, I made her Delicious, Creamy Mashed Potatoes with her secret ingredient, CREAM CHEESE! I used to make them like that and forgot all about it...and you know where I got that little tip? I overheard 2 older ladies talking about it in a grocery store about 15 years ago, lol!

Life Lesson: Eavesdrop on all grocery store conversations!

And with the potatoes, I made her 2008 Year Of The Pot Roast...so yummy, so tender...I have been making roasts for at least 17 years, but none like the one I made last Sunday with her tutorial, wow!

Oh So Tender Pot Roast and yummy carrots and rosemary:

Mmmm....Gravy! In my new Frank Oma, I mean Frankoma soup mug:

Thanks, Pioneer Woman, you made all of my cowboys happy!!!

Now I definitely need a treadmill!

I've been lurking here for a bit, and just wanted to say, I totally agree. That sandwich is yummy. So is her chicken bacon sandwich, which I think she calls MM's second favorite sandwich. I'll have to try the roast and potatoes next.

You are making me want pot roast for breakfast {its 8 in the A.M. here}...and we are not even going to get above 67 degrees today in the ol' Northwest so I am totally in the neighborhood for some comfort food. AND, you are so right about eavesdropping on other's conversations in grocery stores...and by all means, do {give~back} by offering suggestions regarding the best BBQ sauce or shower cleaner when you see someone standing there looking at the choices...go ahead....tell them which one is the best.

Have a great holiday weekend!

If you haven't tried her beef brisket recipe yet, you're missing out. Also, I have been making the same recipe she uses for her apple dumplings and if you have never had them, they are worth every calorie and so fast to make. It is the only apple dessert I like. Give 'em a whirl, you won't be disappointed!

Sounds really yummy, and it looked yummy. What a shame hubby's Dr. won't let him eat like that any more. Darn it..... :[ not good for his heart, well maybe just a small bite will be ok... Ok I will make it. and let him lick the spoon. lol
Thanks for sharing.
Have a great weekend.

I love the pioneer woman! I want to be the pioneer woman!

I will be making your maple chicken tomorrow or Monday for my "mom-of-the-year tupperware dinners" (as I'm now calling them!). Can't wait!

What do you recommend serving with the chicken? I thought about doing the sweet potato dish. But what veggie would go good with it?

Hi Bella! Sorry you're tired, too! You've been cooking your little head off, I can see that! I've been to the Pioneer gal's blog, but not in a while. I'll have to trot on over there and pick up some of these yummy recipes. You're making me hungry and I've already had my dinner!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Thank you for the new recipe ideas. I will hop right over to Pioneer Woman and see what I can come up with. Wow, cream cheese in mashed potatoes! Oh boy, that must be heavenly! I have a ton of potatoes, but no cream cheese yet. I can't hit the stores now, too late. It is nuts around here with people getting out because of Gustav. They are coming through our area for fuel and supplies. I will try it after the hurricane! Something to look forward to. :o)

Hi Bella! I love the new name of your blog! It suits you! :o) Beautiful Home! :o)
We live 27 mi. north of the Mississippi/Louisiana border. It is like an exodus around here!
I just finished baking 45 chocolate cookies ... just in case! :o) My sweet husband loves chocolate and has done so much to assure we are cared for, I had to make sure he had some goodies through this! :o)
I will be reading blogs through out the day, until we loose power!
