Fall Decor: White Pumpkins In A Planter

I have been spray painting everything I can get my hands on lately...it's so much fun, except for the ugly index finger syndrome, maybe I should wear latex gloves???

Here is my newest creation for Fall...I didn't even know where I was going with these....the pumpkins were a faded orange color because I have been using them as outside displays over the years....and the planter was a garage sale find, it was green and chippy and ugly....but look at them now, I love them!!! Even my husband loves them :)

I also wanted to let you all know that we tried the Maple Glazed Chicken with Sweet Potatoes recipe that I posted yesterday and it was DELICIOUS! Definitely a keeper, yum!

ttfn!

How cute is that? The nice thing about blogging is you learn how to recycle. Great idea.

I'm bummed that the summer is almost over (where did the time go?!?!) but I am a fool for fall. :-) Since it's our first year in the house (*a* house even) there's no telling what I'm capable of.

Nice job on recycling the pumpkins!

Thank you for stopping by and for all of your nice comments. I too love a bargain, and I am mad about feathers and I am decorating for the first time with white pumpkins this Fall I love them but they do take a little getting used to. I am thinking the ones I got on clearance at Target are a little too stark so I may add some chocolate glaze to tone them down. So nice to meet you I will be back to visit often. Smiles, Paula

P.S. I LOVE sweet potatoes - I think I'll have to make your recipe. :)

Great idea girl..I will have to try that and I think I'd even rub alittle stain or glaze on mine to make mine alittle more rustic then they would go with my stuff just great...thanks for the info girl! Have a great day!

Hey, Bella, you were asking about those panels on the bottom of your DR. Honestly, those are very classic & I wouldn't do anything to them. I wouldn't put anything inside, it would just detract, I think instead of making a focal point of that area. I would love to do some molding in my DR like that & I plan to just paint it all white like my trim is. That's my opinion! That's a very classic look.

Hi Bella,
I heart your refurbished white pumpkins! Great job! Isn't it wonderful to be able to get an up to date look without spending a fortune? You've certainly managed to do that with your fall decor. Again I must say it, GREAT JOB, well done you!

Hi Bella, thanks for stopping by. I love your pumpkins. I used to buy real white ones when I lived in the Midwest. I doubt if I can find them here in SoCal. Maybe I'll have to buy a can of spray paint.

Hi Bella ~ Your pumpkins are gorgeous! I love white squash. I love fall...it can't come quick enough as far as I am concerned. I love your blog too....thank you for such sweet comments....I love making friends from afar!

That pumpkin doll from yesterday's post was made by Christine Crocker from Deerfield Farmhouse...check out her blog. She is wonderful. I sent her a photo of my doll that she made years and years ago...she remembered making that doll! So creatively cool.

I am off to check out your recipe ~ Yum!

Love white pumpkins.
I had white one that I bought at Target on clearance last year for a $1.
Sadly, I will never get to use it b/c I had put it on the bathroom sink to get something & my toddler grabbed it, it fell & broke.
Sigh.
I will envy yours!

I love all of your fall projects! We are sooo ready for fall here in AZ... I've definitely had enough of the 100+ temperature days. And I almost used the same paper on my plaque as well... I love how yours turned out! So nice to meet you too!

I thought I left a comment earlier but for some reason it didn't post.
After reading your post I'm having a hard time resisting the urge to decorate with pumpkins and to cook maple-glazed chicken with sweet potatoes. You made it all look so good!

Well, that's fun! I love your white pumpkins. You are so creative!

Meanwhile, I still haven't even begun to think about Fall yet. My house is still acting like summer is in full swing and not even close to ending.

I think I'll have to try that maple-glazed chicken recipe. Sounds delish! -Julia :-)
