Fabulous Arts & Crafts Bungalow Fantasy Open House

Hi Open House Lovers!

Welcome to my Open House, I'm so glad you stopped by.

I wanted to choose a home from Grosse Pointe, MI because as a girl, I dreamed of living there one day. I remember taking Sunday drives with my family on Lakeshore Drive and into the neighborhoods and just wishing that we lived there.

My dream did come true in 1995 when we bought a little brick bungalow in the 'working class' section of town, I met the most wonderful people and really enjoyed my 7 years there, I miss it...

And with that, I give you my pick for open house...once I saw this porch on Realtor.com, I just knew I was going to show this home!!! Enjoy your visit...

Fabulous Arts & Crafts Bungalow
GROSSE POINTE PARK, MI, 48230
3 Bed, 3 Bath, 2,700 Sq. Ft.
MLS # 30593220
Real Estate Agent: Donna Stoner
$284,900 (Bargain for this town and this gorgeous home!!!)

Cozy Living Room, love the windows & fireplace:

Dining Room, I wonder if an artist lives here?:

What a HAPPY Kitchen, love the wreaths, too:

Is that a blackboard over the windows? What a great idea!

Family Room, the family who lives here must be very fun-loving, just look at colors and the lighting and the fun ottomans and area rug:

Office/Library:

Bathroom:

Media Room, looks like it is in the basement:

Winter Scene (probably been on the market awhile, our housing market is really bad in Michigan, unfortunately):

Wasn't that a fun home to visit? The colors are so bright and cheery and every room feels so comfortable and inviting. I wish I could sit on that porch on a hot summer day and drink some nice cold ice tea, wouldn't that be dreamy?

Please take a moment to post a comment to let me know that you stopped by and if this is your first visit to my blog, make sure to introduce yourself and take a little look around my blog. I'm so glad you came, new & old friends alike!!!

Bella

PS: Make sure to visit our hostess, Julia's site, Hooked on Houses blog, for more Open Houses to tour! Thanks, Julia, this was fun!

Yessssss, I enjoyed the tour, but those houses are pretty inexpensive considering what it'd go for out her in the west! I think I'd grab that one, sweetpea! It's simply lovely.

What a lovely house! It's my favorite style of house, too. Everything about it just says "home" from the welcoming porch to the light-filled rooms and the easy, comfortable furnishings. I really like what the owner did in the family room with all those slipper chairs arranged like a sectional. Thanks for showing it.

oooh you know I think this homeowner should blog, there sure would be some house-candy posts for us to drool over!

what a great price, I won't tell you how much our tiny cottage was compared to that!!!!

This was a fun house to tour! I really enjoyed it. You don't see many black bathrooms, especially in a house of this style and age, do you?

The whole house is a really interesting mix of the old and new in the way they decorated. It does look like an artist, or someone artistic, lives here.

Thanks so much for joining the blog party, Bella! -Julia :-)

Great tour! This is the second one on the tour where there's a chalkboard/chalkboard paint on the kitchen soffit. I love it! I have a small half bath and I wish I had the guts to paint it a dark color like the black & white one. I love the look when others do it but am petrified to try it.

Thanks for sharing! Hope over to my tour if you can. :-)

I am really drawn to Arts and Crafts-style homes. I really love the kitchen and the porch. It seems they just don't make houses with porches anymore. This one was beautiful. I really enjoyed it. Thank you for stopping by my place, too! :)

Hi Bella, a most cheerful home indeed...somehow, my redecorating reflex hasn't been kicking in lately, can't work up the energy! You have a lovely blog ... and the boys look WONDERFUL!

Hi Bella,
I love going and looking at houses and dreaming. Love this house, it really is gorgeous!!!

In answer to your question no, not a split level, we live in a single level, older, smaller Spanish style (hate that style) home. I do think I am going to paint the bottom white on the cheese holder (now turned cloche lol)....thanks.

Nice home Bella! So warm and cozy. The living room kind of reminds me of your living room set up. But I like your couch much better.

Hi Bella,

I adore your blog. It's beautiful.

Yes, that is a Hoosier in my laundry room. I use it as a pantry, since Sunbonnet Cottage is so tiny, I find room in all sorts of places for storage.

I love your beach cottage idea for your basement. How fun and whimsical!

I hope we can visit again soon.
